13 - Assembling the Bow
1. There is a top and bottom limb. They might look the same but the bottom is a little stiffer to compensate for the fact that the bow is held below center. The arrow sits at the center.
The bottom limb has the writing on it with the poundage of the limbs. If both have writing then they will have top/ bottom or some variant of it written.
2. Make sure that the limbs curve away from the grip. The limbs will be bent back behind the grip when the string is put on.
Newer bows have the International Limb Fitting. These allow the limbs to click onto the riser (handle) saving the effort and time of screwing the limbs into place. They also allow the limbs to have some adjustment.
