04 - keep the hand on the face
Photo 1. Where your hand should be after you release the string.
Photo 2. Where many archers have their hand after they have released the string.
Photo 3. The arrows will often land on the left hand side (for a right handed archer).
Photo 4. This is because even though you have lined up the arrow nicely before releasing when you pull your hand away from the face the back of the arrow gets dragged away and starts to point off from where you are aiming.
Photo 5. When the hand is on the face and the tip of the finger is on the corner of the mouth the string and the back of the arrow are aligned with the eye.
So if you see the arrows landing left (right for left handers) then make sure your hand is staying on your face.
